Connecting corporate travellers with regional New Zealand
Serko has integrated two of New Zealand's largest regional passenger airlines into its premium corporate travel and expense solution Zeno, making it easier for companies to do business in the country's heartland. Available now, Zeno users will be able to book flights with the Marlborough-based Sounds Air as well as Air Chathams.
The integration of the regional airlines in addition to the existing Air New Zealand and Jetstar routes expands the number of New Zealand destinations accessible through Zeno from 20 to 26, the largest number offered by any corporate online travel booking tool. It also gives corporate and government customers new options for travellers on existing routes served by Jetstar and Air New Zealand.
The new destinations include the Kapiti Coast, Whakatane, Whanganui, Picton, Westport and the Chatham Islands.
Serko Chief Executive Darrin Grafton said: The integration of Sounds Air and Air Chathams into Zeno enhances the choices available for travel to and from regional New Zealand. It expands the number of departures and fares available to Zeno customers, helping travel bookers make arrangements that best suit traveller needs. It also enhances competition among airlines for business travellers.
Through continuous innovation and expansion of content, Zeno is transforming the way organisations book and manage corporate travel. While our product is designed to serve global markets, as a New Zealand technology company our domestic customers are uniquely positioned to influence our roadmap.
Andrew Crawford, Sounds Air's Managing Director commented We are delighted to have our regional offering available on the Zeno platform. Sounds Air flies to 9 destinations, 7 of which we are the sole operator so this is a very positive step forward for regional aviation connectivity in New Zealand.
Launched earlier this year, Zeno provides seamless workflows for travellers and travel arrangers across approval, booking, payment and post-ticketing changes. It reduces administration overheads, while helping companies fulfil their duty of care to employees as they travel.
