Serko Pioneers First Nations-Owned Car Rental Integration
Serko has announced the integration of Cedrent, an Australian Indigenous-owned vehicle rental provider, into its corporate travel platform.
This milestone makes Serko the first corporate travel platform to offer dedicated First Nations-owned rental car content, enabling organisations to easily identify, preference, and book Indigenous-owned suppliers directly within their travel program.
The integration is a significant development for Australian government agencies and mining and resource companies, many of whom operate under mandates to prioritise investment into Indigenous-owned businesses through the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) and similar reconciliation initiatives.
By bringing Cedrent’s fleet into the booking experience, Serko provides a seamless path for corporate travelers to support First Nations economic participation while fulfilling their mobility requirements across Australia, including in remote and regional areas critical to the resources sector.

This new functionality builds on Serko’s existing commitment to social procurement, which already includes the ability for organisations to display and prioritise Indigenous-owned accommodation providers. The addition of rental cars creates a more comprehensive "Connected Trip" for socially conscious travellers.
The Cedrent car rental feature is live and available now. Corporate customers can enable this content and configure their preference settings by contacting their Travel Management Company (TMC).
