Darrin Grafton

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Darrin has 25 years' experience in travel technology and is highly experienced in technology commercialisation. He previously held senior management positions with Gullivers Travel Group (listed on the Australian and New Zealand Stock Exchange 2004-2006) and Interactive Technologies.

Darrin was awarded the NZX Hi-Tech Entrepreneur Award and finalist for the NZ Hi-Tech Company Leader Award in 2007. In 2008 he was a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2014 was named one of "25 most influential executives in the business travel industry" by American-based Business Travel News (BTN).

Darrin is a member of the Institute of IT Professionals NZ, the Institute of Directors NZ and NZCDP.

Bob Shaw

Chief Strategy Officer & Co-Founder

Bob has 30 years' experience creating and commercialising technology for the travel industry. He has held a number of directorships and senior management positions in various high-profile ventures including Gullivers Travel Group (listed on the Australian and New Zealand Stock Exchange between 2004 and 2006) and Interactive Technologies.

Bob's strengths lie in his ability to translate opportunities into successful commercial ventures and build the relationships necessary to see them through to fruition. In 2008, Bob was a finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and is a member of the Institute of IT Professionals NZ, the Institute of Directors NZ and NZCDP.

Simon Botherway

Chairman & Independent Director

Simon is based in Arrowtown, New Zealand. He holds a BCom as well as the US-based Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Simon has extensive experience in corporate governance, banking and investment management. He co-founded Brook Asset Management in 2002. He has gained a reputation as an activist investor, publicly challenging the performance of listed companies on numerous occasions. He is a past President of the CFA Society of New Zealand and was a member of the CFA Asia-Pacific Advocacy Committee.

Simon was appointed as a member of the Securities Commission in 2009 and in 2010 he was appointed, by Cabinet, to chair the Financial Markets Authority Establishment Board. He has served as a director of Fisher and Paykel Appliances and the Electricity Authority Establishment Board and was General Manager, Investment Management at ANZ Bank.

Claudia Batten

Independent Director

Claudia has been a founding member of two highly successful entrepreneurial ventures. Starting with Massive Incorporated, a network for advertising in video games, she helped pioneer ‘digital’ as a media buy. Massive was sold to Microsoft in 2006. In 2009 she co-founded Victors & Spoils (‘V&S’), the first advertising agency built on the principles of crowd-sourcing. V&S was majority acquired by French holding company Havas Worldwide in 2011.

Claudia is based in the United States but remains a strong supporter of the New Zealand start-up scene as an active mentor and advisor. She is also the digital advisor to the Board of Westpac New Zealand and holds an LLB (Hons) and BCA from Victoria University (Wellington).

Clyde McConaghy

Independent Director

Clyde is based in Australia. He holds a BBus, and MBA from Cranfield University (UK). Clyde is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors UK. He is the founder of Optima Boards, providing independent director and advisory services to public, private, family office and charitable entities around the world. Clyde has worked in publishing, media, online and technology sectors, living in the UK, Germany, China and Australia. He is a director of ASX-listed technology company, Infomedia Limited, and a former director of Integrated Research Limited.
