Auckland, New Zealand. January 8, 2014 - Serko, the Australasian leader in online travel booking for business, today announced that it has acquired the assets of Incharge, a leading Australasian provider of SaaS-based expense management software.
The acquisition allows Serko to round out its SaaS-based travel booking solution, which is used by many of the largest corporations and government agencies in Australasia. Incharge, based in Sydney, supplies corporations in more than 26 countries with easy to use online expense management capability.
Darrin Grafton, Chief Executive Officer at Serko said, “We’re delighted to announce this acquisition. Travel makes up a third of the expense budget for corporations, and although Serko integrates with all the major expense management platforms such as SAP, Incharge have demonstrated to us that tight integration between the two tools can save travellers significant amounts of time and provide finance teams with near-real time visibility of spending.”

During 2014 Serko plans to launch a number of innovative mobile products, incorporating patented technology that will help organisations simplify the process of managing expenses.

In the deal Serko have acquired all of the assets and customers of Incharge. In due course the business will be rebranded ’Serko Incharge’ to fit within the Serko product family which includes Serko Online, the company’s travel booking engine.
